We (my husband I) have been reading a chapter of Joshua aloud every day for the past couple of weeks...and that verse is one we've read often. It's application is an encouraging one - that when we step out in obedience to face the enemies in our lives that we can do so with confidence and courage that He will be our strength. I love it!
It's repeated quite often in Joshua, isn't it? I was reviewing the verses about when the Israelites cross the Jordan River for a newspaper column I was writing this week, and I came across the Be strong and courageous verses. They really struck me...especially as I leap into a new career in the next couple of weeks!
What a gorgeous photo and lovely illustration of one of the favorite encouraging and comforting Bible verses of my grandkids AND me. I love to sing a Scripture song with these words that I learned from GT and the Halo Express to them often - and especially if they are scared. Thanks for a delightful visit for Spiritual Sunday.
I love reading Joshua, partly b/c that phrase is used over and over again. Really reading out to touch his heart and soul and spirit and keep him walking courageously with our Lord. And I love to take it to my own heart, hoping I will continue to be a courageous follower of our dear Lord.
Such a simple statement, but such a powerful reminder. Thanks for your reminders.
Amen

Wow! What a striking image! And such perfect words!
Standing tall amidst the rain, such great imagery to go with this verse Michelle. And its thundering here.
What a perfect illustration--standing tall and strong--and pointing up. Perfect.
Wow! Great picture

Wow, Michelle! Perfect pairing. Seriously. Absolutely breathtaking.
(Makes me think of, oh, I don't know...Etsy or something?)
I love this image, and the simple encouragement of that scripture. May it be so in my life! Thank you for this!
A lovely message to keep this and everyday!
What a blessing to wake up and welcome another day! Thank you Heavenly Father!
My goodness! Amazing photo.
Strong and courageous, good words. Beautiful photo, too, full of hope and potential. Thank you.
